This website has been launched for you by your computer teacher. This website will be evolving over the course of the semester as the 8th grade class learns how to use Web 2.0 tools more effectively.

Advancements in technology have dramatically impacted the way we communicate in the 21st century. By using this website to interact with others in our class and abroad, we are not only becoming "citizen journalists", we are learning how to use Web 2.0 tools to work together more collaboratively. 

As you sharpen your research and social networking skills using the internet, you and your classmates will create pages on this site. The space will contain hyperlinks to resources in order to enrich the educational experience of the 8th graders and all the readers who visit our site.

Everyone can view pages, but only website members can edit them. Special care will be taken to ensure that students do not share any private information on this space.

The course calendar is located as a hyperlink on the navigation bar (navbar) at the left side of our homepage; this calendar is a tentative schedule for our class, which means it may change, so make sure you continue to check it out each time you visit.
