THE MISSION OF LONGMEADOW HIGH SCHOOL is to provide all students with high quality, challenging educational opportunities which will empower them to actively participate in and to contribute to a changing, global society. In order to succeed in the 21st century, we recognize that we and our students must demonstrate competency in oral and written communication skills, be self-directed, have a sense of social responsibility, be able to use technology effectively, and work independently and collaboratively. We are committed to offering rigorous courses that incorporate technology, critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, collaboration, and practical application.
THE FACULTY AND STAFF OF LONGMEADOW HIGH SCHOOL are committed to students being effective communicators, students and teachers collaborating, a physically and socially safe environment where diversity is respected and appreciated and students are accountable for appropriate behavior that contributes positively to our school community, rigorous and varied curricula, varied methods of instruction and assessment to engage all learners, incorporating activities that require critical thinking, creative problem solving, practical application of skills, and technology, students learning to evaluate and to effectively use technology, students becoming self-directed, active learners, students being involved in co-curricular activities.
