  • Maestro "Extraordinaire" to retire - The LHS Music Department is pleased to announce that Michael Mucci, Longmeadow High School Maestro "Extraordinaire" will be honored as he retires this spring from 35 years of service to the students at Longmeadow High School.The celebration will take place over two days, Saturday May 25 & Sunday May 26. Please join us in celebrating this incomparable career with music, dinner and tributes.   • Attention LHS Class of 1994 and other interested alumni - At this year’s LHS annual  senior Awards Assembly, the first College Scholarship Award in honor of Johanna A. Kolodziejski  from the Class of 1994, will be presented to a graduating senior girl.  The scholarship in Hanna’s name will be given to a student who, like Hanna, strives to make this world a better place through scientific inquiry, music education, social activism and community service. Contributions to the scholarship fund can be made at any TD Bank or by sending a check to: TD Bank, 465 North Main Street, East Longmeadow, MA 01028, made out to the Johanna A. Kolodziejski Memorial Scholarship Fund.

  • Summer Enrichment Program - The Summer Enrichment Program is pleased to announce course offerings and online registration are available now at www.lprd.net.  A print version was mailed to all Longmeadow residents in the spring & summer edition of “Experiences,” the Longmeadow Parks and Recreation brochure (pages 27-39).  In addition, a PDF version of Summer Enrichment offerings is now available online at www.lprd.net/summer-enrichment/.Summer Enrichment runs from Monday, July 1 through Friday, July 26.  Due to popular demand we continue to offer many one week courses to fit into your hectic summer schedule!Please register early to ensure the widest selection of courses.  We hope you will choose to take advantage of the exciting activities and learning opportunities Summer ...

  • Practice Drill Please allow this message to serve as notice that LHS held a practice lock down drill this morning where students and faculty were asked to move quickly to secure locations throughout the building. This practice drill was held in conjunction with the Longmeadow Police Dept and our observations and feedback will be used to improve future protocols. Our goal is to keep students and faculty safe by having them prepared to respond to a variety of emergency situations in a timely manner.
